  26       HarfBuzz began its life as text-shaping code within the FreeType
  27       project (and you will see references to the FreeType authors
  28       within the source code copyright declarations), but was then
  29       extracted out to its own project. This project is maintained by
  30       Behdad Esfahbod, who named it HarfBuzz. Originally, it was a
  31       shaping engine for OpenType fonts—"HarfBuzz" is
  32       the Persian for "open type".
