4 The GStreamer team is pleased to announce the second release candidate of the stable
5 1.8 release series. The 1.8 release series is adding new features on top of
6 the 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 series and is part of the API and ABI-stable 1.x release
7 series of the GStreamer multimedia framework.
10 Binaries for Android, iOS, Mac OS X and Windows will be provided separately
11 during the stable 1.8 release series.
14 This module contains plugins based on the libav project, including codecs.
18 Other modules containing plugins are:
22 contains a basic set of well-supported plugins
24 contains a set of well-supported plugins under our preferred license
26 contains a set of well-supported plugins, but might pose problems for
29 contains a set of less supported plugins that haven't passed the
