net: phy: micrel: kszphy_resume(): add delay after genphy_resume() before accessing PHY registers
After the power-down bit is cleared, the chip internally triggers a
global reset. According to the KSZ9031 documentation, we have to wait at
least 1ms for the reset to finish.
If the chip is accessed during reset, read will return 0xffff, while
write will be ignored. Depending on the system performance and MDIO bus
speed, we may or may not run in to this issue.
This bug was discovered on an iMX6QP system with KSZ9031 PHY and
attached PHY interrupt line. If IRQ was used, the link status update was
lost. In polling mode, the link status update was always correct.
The investigation showed, that during a read-modify-write access, the
read returned 0xffff (while the chip was still in reset) and
corresponding write hit the chip _after_ reset and triggered (due to the
0xffff) another reset in an undocumented bit (register 0x1f, bit 1),
resulting in the next write being lost due to the new reset cycle.
This patch fixes the issue by adding a 1...2 ms sleep after the
genphy_resume().

net: core: enable SO_BINDTODEVICE for non-root users
Currently, SO_BINDTODEVICE requires CAP_NET_RAW. This change allows a
non-root user to bind a socket to an interface if it is not already
bound. This is useful to allow an application to bind itself to a
specific VRF for outgoing or incoming connections. Currently, an
application wanting to manage connections through several VRF need to
be privileged.
Previously, IP_UNICAST_IF and IPV6_UNICAST_IF were added for
Wine (
76e21053b5bf3 and
c4062dfc425e9) specifically for use by
non-root processes. However, they are restricted to sendmsg() and not
usable with TCP. Allowing SO_BINDTODEVICE would allow TCP clients to
get the same privilege. As for TCP servers, outside the VRF use case,
SO_BINDTODEVICE would only further restrict connections a server could
accept.
When an application is restricted to a VRF (with `ip vrf exec`), the
socket is bound to an interface at creation and therefore, a
non-privileged call to SO_BINDTODEVICE to escape the VRF fails.
When an application bound a socket to SO_BINDTODEVICE and transmit it
to a non-privileged process through a Unix socket, a tentative to
change the bound device also fails.

mptcp_subflow_data_available() is commonly called via
ssk->sk_data_ready(), in this case the mptcp socket lock

Therefore, while we can safely discard subflow data that
was already received up to msk->ack_seq, we cannot be sure
that 'subflow->data_avail' will still be valid at the time
userspace wants to read the data -- a previous read on a
different subflow might have carried this data already.
In that (unlikely) event, msk->ack_seq will have been updated

[..]
Problem is that mptcp_shutdown() socket isn't an mptcp socket,
its a plain tcp_sk. Thus, trying to access mptcp_sk specific
members accesses garbage.
Root cause is that accept() returns a fallback (tcp) socket, not an mptcp
one. There is code in getpeername to detect this and override the sockets
stream_ops. But this will only run when accept() caller provided a
sockaddr struct. "accept(fd, NULL, 0)" will therefore result in
mptcp stream ops, but with sock->sk pointing at a tcp_sk.
Update the existing fallback handling to detect this as well.
Moreover, mptcp_shutdown did not have fallback handling, and
mptcp_poll did it too late so add that there as well.

cxgb4: fix MPS index overwrite when setting MAC address
cxgb4_update_mac_filt() earlier requests firmware to add a new MAC
address into MPS TCAM. The MPS TCAM index returned by firmware is
stored in pi->xact_addr_filt. However, the saved MPS TCAM index gets
overwritten again with the return value of cxgb4_update_mac_filt(),
which is wrong.
When trying to update to another MAC address later, the wrong MPS TCAM
index is sent to firmware, which causes firmware to return error,
because it's not the same MPS TCAM index that firmware had sent
earlier to driver.
So, fix by removing the wrong overwrite being done after call to
cxgb4_update_mac_filt().

Looks like addrconf_sysctl_addr_gen_mode() bypasses the original "is
this a slave interface?" check added by commit
c2edacf80e15, and
results in an address getting added, while w/the proposed patch added,
no address gets added. This simply adds the same gating check to another
code path, and thus should prevent the same devices from erroneously
obtaining an ipv6 link-local address.

net_sched: add a temporary refcnt for struct tcindex_data
Although we intentionally use an ordered workqueue for all tc
filter works, the ordering is not guaranteed by RCU work,
given that tcf_queue_work() is esstenially a call_rcu().
This problem is demostrated by Thomas:
CPU 0:
tcf_queue_work()
tcf_queue_work(&r->rwork, tcindex_destroy_rexts_work);
-> Migration to CPU 1
CPU 1:
tcf_queue_work(&p->rwork, tcindex_destroy_work);
so the 2nd work could be queued before the 1st one, which leads
to a free-after-free.
Enforcing this order in RCU work is hard as it requires to change
RCU code too. Fortunately we can workaround this problem in tcindex
filter by taking a temporary refcnt, we only refcnt it right before
we begin to destroy it. This simplifies the code a lot as a full
refcnt requires much more changes in tcindex_set_parms().

the READ_IMPLIES_EXEC personality flag. We changed the default from
1 to 0 back in Linux v4.4 and now we are taking the next step of

- Allow kernfs symlinks to inherit the SELinux label of the parent

protected by the genfs_seclabel_symlinks SELinux policy capability.
- Optimize how we store filename transitions in the kernel, resulting
in some significant improvements to policy load times.
- Do a better job calculating our internal hash table sizes which
resulted in additional policy load improvements and likely general
SELinux performance improvements as well.

"We've got two audit patches for the v5.7 merge window with a stellar
14 lines changed between the two patches. The patch descriptions are
far more lengthy than the patches themselves, which is a very good
thing for patches this size IMHO. The patches pass our test suites and
a quick summary is below:
- Stop logging inode information when updating an audit file watch.
Since we are not changing the inode, or the fact that we are
watching the associated file, the inode information is just noise
that we can do without.
- Fix a problem where mandatory audit records were missing their
accompanying audit records (e.g. SYSCALL records were missing).
The missing records often meant that we didn't have the necessary
context to understand what was going on when the event occurred"

Pull gfs2 updates from Bob Peterson:
"We've got a lot of patches (39) for this merge window. Most of these
patches are related to corruption that occurs when journals are
replayed. For example:
1. A node fails while writing to the file system.
2. Other nodes use the metadata that was once used by the failed
node.
3. When the node returns to the cluster, its journal is replayed, but
the older metadata blocks overwrite the changes from step 2.
Summary:
- Fixed the recovery sequence to prevent corruption during journal
replay.
- Many bug fixes found during recovery testing.
- New improved file system withdraw sequence.
- Fixed how resource group buffers are managed.
- Fixed how metadata revokes are tracked and written.

CFP_NUM_RULES, which while it is correct not to overflow the bitmaps, is
not representative of what the device actually supports. Correct that by
using bcm_sf2_cfp_rule_size() instead.
The latter subtracts the number of rules by 1, so change the checks from

This causes time drift in the range of ~1 second per hour (20-30

With some reverse engineering it was established that the possible

uses multiplier / divider pairs which bring the frequencies closer to

Merge branch 'Add-packet-trap-policers-support'
Ido Schimmel says:
====================
Add packet trap policers support
Background
==========
Devices capable of offloading the kernel's datapath and perform
functions such as bridging and routing must also be able to send (trap)
specific packets to the kernel (i.e., the CPU) for processing.
For example, a device acting as a multicast-aware bridge must be able to
trap IGMP membership reports to the kernel for processing by the bridge
module.
Motivation
==========
In most cases, the underlying device is capable of handling packet rates
that are several orders of magnitude higher compared to those that can
be handled by the CPU.
Therefore, in order to prevent the underlying device from overwhelming
the CPU, devices usually include packet trap policers that are able to
police the trapped packets to rates that can be handled by the CPU.
Proposed solution
=================
This patch set allows capable device drivers to register their supported
packet trap policers with devlink. User space can then tune the
parameters of these policers (currently, rate and burst size) and read
from the device the number of packets that were dropped by the policer,
if supported.
These packet trap policers can then be bound to existing packet trap
groups, which are used to aggregate logically related packet traps. As a
result, trapped packets are policed to rates that can be handled the
host CPU.
Example usage
=============
Instantiate netdevsim:
Dump available packet trap policers:
netdevsim/netdevsim10:
policer 1 rate 1000 burst 128
policer 2 rate 2000 burst 256
policer 3 rate 3000 burst 512
Change the parameters of a packet trap policer:
Bind a packet trap policer to a packet trap group:
Dump parameters and statistics of a packet trap policer:
netdevsim/netdevsim10:
policer 3 rate 100 burst 16
stats:
rx:
dropped 92
Unbind a packet trap policer from a packet trap group:
Patch set overview
==================
Patch #1 adds the core infrastructure in devlink which allows capable
device drivers to register their supported packet trap policers with
devlink.
Patch #2 extends the existing devlink-trap documentation.
Patch #3 extends netdevsim to register a few dummy packet trap policers
with devlink. Used later on to selftests the core infrastructure.
Patches #4-#5 adds infrastructure in devlink to allow binding of packet
trap policers to packet trap groups.
Patch #6 extends netdevsim to allow such binding.
Patch #7 adds a selftest over netdevsim that verifies the core
devlink-trap policers functionality.
Patches #8-#14 gradually add devlink-trap policers support in mlxsw.
Patch #15 adds a selftest over mlxsw. All registered packet trap
policers are verified to handle the configured rate and burst size.
Future plans
============
* Allow changing default association between packet traps and packet
trap groups
* Add more packet traps. For example, for control packets (e.g., IGMP)
v3:
* Rebase
v2 (address comments from Jiri and Jakub):
* Patch #1: Add 'strict_start_type' in devlink policy
* Patch #1: Have device drivers provide max/min rate/burst size for each
policer. Use them to check validity of user provided parameters
* Patch #3: Remove check about burst size being a power of 2 and instead
add a debugfs knob to fail the operation
* Patch #3: Provide max/min rate/burst size when registering policers
and remove the validity checks from nsim_dev_devlink_trap_policer_set()
* Patch #5: Check for presence of 'DEVLINK_ATTR_TRAP_POLICER_ID' in
devlink_trap_group_set() and bail if not present
* Patch #5: Add extack error message in case trap group was partially
modified
* Patch #7: Add test case with new 'fail_trap_policer_set' knob
* Patch #7: Add test case for partially modified trap group
* Patch #10: Provide max/min rate/burst size when registering policers
* Patch #11: Remove the max/min validity checks from
__mlxsw_sp_trap_policer_set()

* Honors that imposed limitations of rate and burst size
* Able to police trapped packets to the specified rate
* Able to police trapped packets to the specified burst size
* Able to be unbound from its trap group

mlxsw: spectrum_trap: Switch to use correct packet trap group
Some packet traps are currently exposed to user space as being member of
"l3_drops" trap group, but internally they are member of a different
group.
Switch these traps to use the correct group so that they are all subject
to the same policer, as exposed to user space.
Set the trap priority of packets trapped due to loopback error during
routing to the lowest priority. Such packets are not routed again by the
kernel and therefore should not mask other traps (e.g., host miss) that
should be routed.

mlxsw: spectrum: Track used packet trap policer IDs
During initialization the driver configures various packet trap groups
and binds policers to them.
Currently, most of these groups are not exposed to user space and
therefore their policers should not be exposed as well. Otherwise, user
space will be able to alter policer parameters without knowing which
packet traps are policed by the policer.
Use a bitmap to track the used policer IDs so that these policers will
not be registered with devlink in a subsequent patch.
