powerpc/book3s64/radix: Remove WARN_ON in destroy_context()
On failed task initialization due to memory allocation failures, we can
call into destroy_context() with process_tb entry already populated.
This patch forces the process_tb entry to zero in destroy_context().
With this patch, we lose the ability to track if we are destroying a
context without flushing the process table entry.

This series from Deepa Dinamani adds a per-superblock minimum/maximum
timestamp limit for a file system, and clamps timestamps as they are
written, to avoid random behavior from integer overflow as well as
having different time stamps on disk vs in memory.
At mount time, a warning is now printed for any file system that can
represent current timestamps but not future timestamps more than 30
years into the future, similar to the arbitrary 30 year limit that was
added to settimeofday().
This was picked as a compromise to warn users to migrate to other file
systems (e.g. ext4 instead of ext3) when they need the file system to
survive beyond 2038 (or similar limits in other file systems), but not

tracing/probe: Reject exactly same probe event
Reject exactly same probe events as existing probes.
Multiprobe allows user to define multiple probes on same
event. If user appends a probe which exactly same definition
(same probe address and same arguments) on existing event,
the event will record same probe information twice.
That can be confusing users, so reject it.

of: restore old handling of cells_name=NULL in of_*_phandle_with_args()
Before commit
e42ee61017f5 ("of: Let of_for_each_phandle fallback to
non-negative cell_count") the iterator functions calling
of_for_each_phandle assumed a cell count of 0 if cells_name was NULL.
This corner case was missed when implementing the fallback logic in
e42ee61017f5 and resulted in an endless loop.
Restore the old behaviour of of_count_phandle_with_args() and
of_parse_phandle_with_args() and add a check to
of_phandle_iterator_init() to prevent a similar failure as a safety
precaution. of_parse_phandle_with_args_map() doesn't need a similar fix
as cells_name isn't NULL there.

powerpc/mm/mce: Keep irqs disabled during lockless page table walk
__find_linux_mm_pte() returns a page table entry pointer after walking
the page table without holding locks. To make it safe against a THP
split and/or collapse, we disable interrupts around the lockless page
table walk. However we need to keep interrupts disabled as long as we
use the page table entry pointer that is returned.
Fix addr_to_pfn() to do that.

"fs-verity is a filesystem feature that provides Merkle tree based
hashing (similar to dm-verity) for individual readonly files, mainly
for the purpose of efficient authenticity verification.
This pull request includes:
(a) The fs/verity/ support layer and documentation.
(b) fs-verity support for ext4 and f2fs.
Compared to the original fs-verity patchset from last year, the UAPI
to enable fs-verity on a file has been greatly simplified. Lots of
other things were cleaned up too.
fs-verity is planned to be used by two different projects on Android;
most of the userspace code is in place already. Another userspace tool
("fsverity-utils"), and xfstests, are also available. e2fsprogs and
f2fs-tools already have fs-verity support. Other people have shown
interest in using fs-verity too.
I've tested this on ext4 and f2fs with xfstests, both the existing
tests and the new fs-verity tests. This has also been in linux-next
since July 30 with no reported issues except a couple minor ones I
found myself and folded in fixes for.

- Add ioctls that add/remove encryption keys to/from a
filesystem-level keyring.
These fix user-reported issues where e.g. an encrypted home
directory can break NetworkManager, sshd, Docker, etc. because they
don't get access to the needed keyring. These ioctls also provide a
way to lock encrypted directories that doesn't use the
vm.drop_caches sysctl, so is faster, more reliable, and doesn't
always need root.
- Add a new encryption policy version ("v2") which switches to a more
standard, secure, and flexible key derivation function, and starts
verifying that the correct key was supplied before using it.
The key derivation improvement is needed for its own sake as well
as for ongoing feature work for which the current way is too
inflexible.
Work is in progress to update both Android and the 'fscrypt' userspace
tool to use both these features. (Working patches are available and
just need to be reviewed+merged.) Chrome OS will likely use them too.
This has also been tested on ext4, f2fs, and ubifs with xfstests --
both the existing encryption tests, and the new tests for this. This
has also been in linux-next since Aug 16 with no reported issues. I'm
also using an fscrypt v2-encrypted home directory on my personal
desktop"

There was a bit of a churn in here, with a number of core and OF
platform patches being added to the tree, and then after much
discussion and review and a day-long in-person meeting, they were
decided to be reverted and a new set of patches is currently being
reviewed on the mailing list.
Other than that churn, there are two "persistent" branches in here
that other trees will be pulling in as well during the merge window.
One branch to add support for drivers to have the driver core
automatically add sysfs attribute files when a driver is bound to a
device so that the driver doesn't have to manually do it (and then
clean it up, as it always gets it wrong).
There's another branch in here for generic lookup helpers for the
driver core that lots of busses are starting to use. That's the
majority of the non-driver-core changes in this patch series.
There's also some on-going debugfs file creation cleanup that has been
slowly happening over the past few releases, with the goal to
hopefully get that done sometime next year.
All of these have been in linux-next for a while now with no reported

KVM: coalesced_mmio: add bounds checking
The first/last indexes are typically shared with a user app.
The app can change the 'last' index that the kernel uses
to store the next result. This change sanity checks the index
before using it for writing to a potentially arbitrary address.
This fixes CVE-2019-14821.

powerpc: Use ftrace_graph_ret_addr() when unwinding
With support for HAVE_FUNCTION_GRAPH_RET_ADDR_PTR,
ftrace_graph_ret_addr() provides more robust unwinding when function
graph is in use. Update show_stack() to use the same.

powerpc/ftrace: Enable HAVE_FUNCTION_GRAPH_RET_ADDR_PTR
This associates entries in the ftrace_ret_stack with corresponding stack
frames, enabling more robust stack unwinding. Also update the only user
of ftrace_graph_ret_addr() to pass the stack pointer.

Instead of infinitely spinning, the task which tries to cancel the
timer blocks on a per cpu base expiry lock which is held and
released by the (hr)timer expiry code.
- Enable the Hyper-V TSC page based sched_clock for Hyper-V guests
resulting in faster access to timekeeping functions.
- Updates to various clocksource/clockevent drivers and their device
tree bindings.

init. Once all CPUs have been brought up once, IPI broadcasting is
enabled. Before that regular one by one IPIs are issued.
- Drop the paravirt CR8 related functions as they have no user anymore
- Initialize the APIC TPR to block interrupt 16-31 as they are reserved
for CPU exceptions and should never be raised by any well behaving
device.
- Emit a warning when vector space exhaustion breaks the admin set
affinity of an interrupt.
- Make sure to use the NMI fallback when shutdown via reboot vector IPI
fails. The original code had conditions which prevent the code path
to be reached.
- Annotate various APIC config variables as RO after init.

selftests/ftrace: Select an existing function in kprobe_eventname test
Running the ftrace selftests on the latest kernel caused the
kprobe_eventname test to fail. It was due to the test that searches for
a function with at "dot" in the name and adding a probe to that.
Unfortunately, for this test, it picked:
optimize_nops.isra.2.cold.4
Which happens to be marked as "__init", which means it no longer exists
in the kernel! (kallsyms keeps those function names around for tracing
purposes)
As only functions that still exist are in the
available_filter_functions file, as they are removed when the functions
are freed at boot or module exit, have the test search for a function
with ".isra." in the name as well as being in the
available_filter_functions (if the file exists).

tracing/kprobe: Fix NULL pointer access in trace_porbe_unlink()
Fix NULL pointer access in trace_probe_unlink() by initializing
trace_probe.list correctly in trace_probe_init().
In the error case of trace_probe_init(), it can call trace_probe_unlink()
before initializing trace_probe.list member. This causes NULL pointer
dereference at list_del_init() in trace_probe_unlink().

Notice that the timestamp of the irq_lat "249.429308" is awfully
similar to the reported irqlat variable. In fact, all instances were
like this. It appeared that:
irqlat=$irqlat
Wasn't assigning the old $irqlat to the new irqlat variable, but
instead was assigning the $irqts to it.
The issue is that assigning the old $irqlat to the new irqlat variable
creates a variable reference alias, but the alias creation code
forgets to make sure the alias uses the same var_ref_idx to access the
reference.

powerpc: dump kernel log before carrying out fadump or kdump
Since commit
4388c9b3a6ee ("powerpc: Do not send system reset request
through the oops path"), pstore dmesg file is not updated when dump is
triggered from HMC. This commit modified system reset (sreset) handler
to invoke fadump or kdump (if configured), without pushing dmesg to
pstore. This leaves pstore to have old dmesg data which won't be much
of a help if kdump fails to capture the dump. This patch fixes that by
calling kmsg_dump() before heading to fadump ot kdump.

selftests, arm64: add kernel headers path for tags_test
tags_test.c relies on PR_SET_TAGGED_ADDR_CTRL/PR_TAGGED_ADDR_ENABLE being
present in system headers. When this is not the case the build of this
test fails with undeclared identifier errors.
Fix by providing the path to the KSFT installed kernel headers in CFLAGS.

arm64: fix unreachable code issue with cmpxchg
On arm64 build with clang, sometimes the __cmpxchg_mb is not inlined
when CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING is set.
Clang then fails a compile-time assertion, because it cannot tell at
compile time what the size of the argument is:
