Removed carriage returns in middle of text and at line endings.
Depending on the editor or viewer, the carriage returns may not
be readily apparent. To search for them via the command line
something like the following may be used:
find . -name "*.[ch]" -o -name "*.cpp" | xargs grep -n $'\r' \
| grep -v extlibs
