Updated scripts for faster build/execution cycle

Added 2 options to build script to prevent cleaning down the build
area and to prevent generation of tests - this improves the cycle time
for writing/building tests

Removed old coverage data prior to executing tests - prevents large
scale output with "version mismatch" errors.
