  68         output matching Berkeley's gprof.  The biggest differences

  70         before the call graph; numbers come before explanations;
  71         and there is less gratuitous white space.

  73         variable causes discarding of initial underscores when
  74         printing symbol names.  It is set unless there is a "main"
  75         symbol (without an underscore).
