   1 The following is a list of files and features that are going to be
   2 removed from the U-Boot source tree.  Every entry should contain what
   3 exactly is going away, when it will be gone, why it is being removed,
   4 and who is going to be doing the work.  When the feature is removed
   5 from U-Boot, its corresponding entry should also be removed from this
   6 file.

  10 What:   "autoscr" command
  11 When:   August 2009
  12 Why:    "autosrc" is an ugly and completely non-standard name.  The "autoscr"
  13         command is deprecated and will be replaced the "source" command as
  14         used by other shells such as bash.  Both commands will be supported
  15         for a transition period of 6 months after which "autoscr" will be
  16         removed.

  21 What:   Individual I2C commands
  22 When:   April 2009
  23 Why:    Per the U-Boot README, individual I2C commands such as "imd", "imm",
  24         "imw", etc are deprecated.  The single "i2c" command which is
  25         currently enabled via CONFIG_I2C_CMD_TREE contains the same
  26         functionality as the individual I2C commands.  The individual
  27         I2C commands should be removed as well as any references to
  28         CONFIG_I2C_CMD_TREE.

  33 What:   Legacy NAND code
  34 When:   April 2009
  35 Why:    Legacy NAND code is deprecated.  Similar functionality exists in
  36         more recent NAND code ported from the Linux kernel.
