   4 The GStreamer team is pleased to announce the first release candidate of the stable
   5 1.8 release series. The 1.8 release series is adding new features on top of
   6 the 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 series and is part of the API and ABI-stable 1.x release
   7 series of the GStreamer multimedia framework.

  19 sell your freedom down the river.  These plugins might have a patent noose
  20 around their neck, or a lock-up license, or any other problem that makes you
  21 think twice about shipping them.

  25 son less because he's not as pretty as the other ones ? No  - she commends
  26 him on his great personality.  These plugins are the life of the party.
  27 And we'll still step in and set them straight if you report any unacceptable
  28 behaviour - because there are two kinds of people in the world, my friend:
  29 those with a rope around their neck and the people who do the cutting.

  32 This module contains a set of plugins that have good quality and correct
  33 functionality, but distributing them might pose problems.  The license
  34 on either the plugins or the supporting libraries might not be how we'd
  35 like. The code might be widely known to present patent problems.
  36 Distributors should check if they want/can ship these plugins.
